Creating Component Sets

When creating components such as double-sided game boards, punchouts, mats, etc., you will start by creating a component set.  A component set is much like a card deck, where you'll first upload a component set back image, and then upload the images for the component fronts.

Like card decks, sets are a way for you (the designer) to organize components within your game.  All components of the same size, shape and type will be combined for printing together on the sheets/slugs, regardless of their sets, so there is no additional charge for using multiple component sets within a game.

To create a component set within your game, you'll first click on "Add Custom Component" on the right side of the screen.

Next, you'll search for select the type of component you wish to add to your game.  Click on "Add to Game" to add the new component set.

Now that you're back in your game, you can upload a component set back image.  The component set back image will be visible under your the components list on your game's Shop page.  Note:  If you do not upload a set back image, then our system will automatically assign one of your unique component back images as the set back image.  This will be used for the thumbnail on your Shop page, as well as for any component in the set for which you do not upload a unique back image.

You can then upload front images for your components by scrolling further down the screen.

After you upload a component face image, you will have the option to use the component set back image or a unique image for the component.  You can select this under the "Back From" field.

If you select "Component" from the drop-down list, a new field will appear that allows you to upload a unique back image for the component.

On your game's Shop page, only the set back image will be displayed under the Components section.  (A larger version is visible if the cursor is hovered over the photo.  Note:  If you do not upload a set back image, then our system will automatically assign one of your component back images as the set back image.

Please note that, when you add a component to your set, you will only receive the quantity of components that are listed there.  If you add one component to the set, and the quantity field is set to "1," then you will only receive one of those components with your game (regardless of how many can be printed on a slug or sheet).  If you wish to receive a full slug or sheet of components, you'll need to make sure that the total quantity is equal to the slug or sheet quantity.

Here's an example.  Near the top of the screen, you'll see the field for "Copies of [Component] Set" and below it, the number of component designs in that set as well as the total number of components.

Large circle chits are printed 80 per sheet.  If I wanted 80 of the same chit, I would need to update the quantity field for that chit to "80":

Or, let's say that I have five different chits, but I want to receive 80 chits total. I could update the quantity of each individual chit, or I could simply update the copies of the chit set instead.  In this case, the set quantity would be 16 (16 x 5 = 80):

This means that I will receive 16 copies of every chit in the set.

There are a couple of other buttons that you'll see listed under your component set.

The "+ Add Another" button will add a whole new set of this component type to your game, but will not automatically add any components to it.

The "Duplicate" button will add a copy of this entire component set to your game.

The "Proof All" button will bring up all of the images in this component set for you to proof and approve, one at a time.

When you click on "Approve," the next image will be brought up automatically until you've reviewed all of the images in the component set:

The "Delete" button will delete the entire component set from your game.  A dialog box will pop up, asking you to confirm the deletion:
