What's a designer associate?

Adding a Designer Associate allows you to give privileges to other users to edit and purchase the games this designer controls.  It also allows you to share profits with those users.  Another benefit is that designer associates are able to purchase the game(s) listed under the designer at the manufacturing cost and take advantage of bulk pricing, just like the designer.

To create an associate, simply go to your Designers page at https://www.thegamecrafter.com/make/designers and click on "Edit" next to one of your designers.

Click "Associates" on the left-hand side of the screen, and type in the username or email address for the user account you want to add as an associate.  This will allow you to select a user to become an associate.  You can then assign a profit sharing split with that associate, which can be anything from 0-100%. You can add as many associates to your designer as you like, and assign them each individual shares. 

In addition to getting profit sharing, associates serve another function as well. Associates are allowed to edit the games attached to this designer. In this way, you can collaborate and delegate with friends, artists, and publishers by giving them permission for specific games without giving them access to your account.
