How to Order Your Game

After you have put all the work into loading your images into your game and proofing them, you will want to order a copy of your game.

Before you place your order there are some things to note:

Many designers want to order multiple copies of their game. Please order only one copy of your game and check it carefully for any errors, omissions, or changes that need to be made before ordering multiple copies of your game or publishing your game. This will save you time, money and stress down the road.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two things to note when ordering your first custom game.

1. Your first order can not be more than $250 (including shipping).

2. After you place your first order, you will not be able to place a second order for 3 days.  Please take this into account if you have a timeline for your order.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Orders are printed in the order that they are received; this is called the "Production Queue." When you place your order, it will have the status "Queued for Production." Your order status will change to "In Production," then to "Shipped." When we ship an order, we send out a shipping notification e-mail with the tracking information from shipping@thegamecrafter.com.

You will not be able to cancel your order once it enters production.

You will also see an Estimated Shipping date during every step of the checkout process and on your receipt. This is when we estimate we will finish producing your order and it will ship from our facility. It is not the date that the order will be delivered to you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you need a game quickly, you have the option of Urgent Production. Basically, the urgent queue puts your order ahead of everyone else’s order.  It does not guarantee a specific ship date, just that we’ll work on your order right away. In most cases, this means that we’ll produce your order the day you order it, or the day after.

Please note that this option will cost 100% of the cost of your order (not including shipping).  For example, if your order total is $25 before shipping, the total with your order marked "Urgent" would be $50 before shipping.

Adding the Game to Your Cart

To add the game to your cart, you will go to the Make tab, then to Games.

This will take you to the list of all your games. Click the "Edit" button for the game and then click the "Buy" button.

If you are in the editing area of your game, click on the green "Add to Cart" button in the top right of your game (this also displays the cost of your game). Then it will be added to your cart.

Once you have added your game to your cart, you will go into the cart to complete the checkout process. You can click on the gray shopping cart icon on the top right of your screen to go to your Shopping Cart.

In the cart, you will see your game, the price for the game, the quantity, a subtotal and the estimated ship date for the order. This is when we estimate we will finish producing your order and it will ship from our facility.  It is not the date that the order will be delivered to you.

Click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button to continue through the checkout process and add the address the order will ship to.

If this is your first order ever, there will be no shipping address listed. Click on the blue "Add An Address" button to enter your address. On this same page, you can enter any shipping notes for the order.

Note: We are not able to ship separate orders together to save on shipping.

After adding your address, you will click on "Continue To Payment." This will take you to the last page of checkout. Once you pay for the order on this screen, the order will go into the production queue.

On this last page, there are a few options you need to select.

Production Speed

This field determines whether you wish to use regular production or our urgent production option.

Shipping

Click on the dropdown arrow to see a listing of all the available shipping options and their costs. Options may be limited for certain addresses and international orders.

The free option of Will Call means that you will schedule a time and date to come to our facility and pick up the order in person.  It cannot be used to have another shipping carrier pick up your order.

Taxes and Fees

These are the various fees associated with the production of this order. Clicking on the word "various fees " will open up that area to see the exact costs.

If your organization is tax-exempt, please contact Info@thegamecrafter.com with your tax exemption documents before you place your order. Do not place your order before you contact us, as we will not be able to refund the tax for an existing order.

Paying for an Order

After you select all the options for your order, you can pay with either a credit card or PayPal.

The Game Crafter supports MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and PayPal. We do not accept e-checks or direct bank transfers.

FAQ

Can I make changes to my game after I order? Will those changes be in the order?

If you made changes to your game after placing your order, those changes will not be present in your order.
At the time of the order, our system takes a "snapshot" of the game's contents and images; this is what is generated for printing.  This "snapshot" does not update when you make changes after the order has been placed.

The only option would be to cancel your existing order (more information is available here) and place a new order.  Your new order will then include the changes you've made.  (Please note that you will not be able to cancel your order after it has entered production.)

Can I add items to my order?

We are not able to make changes to an order once it has been placed.  If your order has not yet entered production, you could cancel your existing order, then place a new order containing the original items as well as the additional items.

Should I leave the template on my images? How will you know where to cut?

You should remove all traces of the template from your images. We print the exact image you load into your game. If you leave the template on your image then it will be printed on the item. Our system is already set up to know how to cut the items based on the component type.

I am tax exempt--how do I select that?

If your order needs to be tax-exempt, please contact Info@thegamecrafter.com with your tax documents before you place your order.  Do not place your order before you contact us, as we will not be able to issue a refund tax for an existing order.

Your account needs to be marked as tax-free before you place your order.

I have a gift certificate code--where do I enter it during checkout?

There is no option to enter a gift certificate during checkout. You would need to add the certificate to your account before placing your order. You can visit https://www.thegamecrafter.com/account/credit to redeem your certificate, which will add in-shop credit to your account.  Your in-shop credit will be automatically deducted from the total during checkout.
